
New Delhi: Ducati on Monday launched its new bike in India DesertX, especially for off-road driving lovers. The bike has been priced in the country at a cost of Rs 17.91 lakh (ex-showroom). However, one must know what the Italy-based company offers in exchange for such a huge amount.

DesertX features and engine detail
DesertX comes with a twin-cylinder engine that produces 937cc or 110hp and 92 Nm of torque. For better comfort on rough terrain, the bike is equipped with a 21-inch/ 18-inch wire-spoke wheel combo, and suspension of 230mm and 220mm at the front and rear, respectively.
The buyer gets a fuel capacity of 21 litres. The bike is also available with an 8-litre auxiliary fuel tank. For better on road, the bike features ABS dual channel brakes. On the front wheel, one gets a double disc, and one single on the rear wheel.
The features in the bike include Riding modes, power modes, adjustable windshield, tripmeter, traction control, quick shifter, and speedometer.
The weighs 202 kg and its load-carrying capacity is 240 kg. The bike will compete in the market against BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, Triumph Rocket 3, and Harley Davidson Fat Boy.
