New Delhi: Kia, the South Korea-based automotive company, is ready to bring the upgraded and more powerful electric model of EV6 GT to India on October 4. Notably, the EV6 GT model was launched in August 2022. Currently, the car is available for booking at around 15 dealerships across the country in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Noida, Jaipur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
The current version of Kia’s electric car features a 77.4 kWh battery. The car is equipped with a 160kW front motor that can produce a maximum output of 270 kW and maximum torque of 390 Nm.
On the rear side, the car gets a 270kW rear motor, claimed to deliver a maximum output of 160 kW and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.
Currently, Kia sells EV 6 in India with a starting price of ₹59.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the launch of the car, the company has planned to woo more customers in the market. The new car is likely to be launched with a 77 kWh battery pack.
It is believed that the car can deliver a range of around 528 km on a single charge.
The Kia EV6 can reach 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, according to the company. It is reported that the battery can be refilled 10 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes using a 350-kW charger. The base version of the new car is expected to cost around 59.95 lakh.
