New Delhi: Considering the growth in the market of Electric cars in India, MG Motor is planning to launch the facelift version of the MG ZS EV. The facelift version of the car will be called MG ZS EV 2022. Before the launch, the company has shared some photos of the car, giving it a fresh look.
Notably, the booking for the new ZS EV has been opened. It is expected that the company will supply the new version to those who have booked the older car.
What’s new in facelift MG ZS EV
MG ZS EV 2022 will get some change in LED headlamps, featuring new LED daytime running lamps. MG Motor will offer an updated front bumper, a new body-coloured, a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, and a blanked-off grille area.
On the rear side, a revised LED tail lamps and rear bumper. The front fenders get ‘Electric badges’ in typical MG fashion.
On the interior front, it will get a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera.
The inside features of the car are reported to be similar to MG Astor.
Battery and range
MG Motor is said to be powered by a 51kWh battery pack, replacing the 44.5kWh unit. With the more powerful battery life, the car is likely to cover 480km. The pre-facelift model produces 143hp and 353Nm. However, the official announcement regarding the car is yet to be made.
Expected Price in India
The MG ZS EV 2022 might be launched in the third week of this month in India. The car is believed to be launched around Rs 25 lakh as the current ZS EV is priced between Rs 21.49 lakh-25.18 lakh (ex-showroom, (India).
