Budget 2023-24: How to download Union Budget Mobile App to get access to paperless budget? Check steps

The finance minister’s full speech will be there on the ‘Union Budget Mobile App.’ The government’s app will also give access to the union budget document.

New Delhi: The Union Budget for the financial year 2023-24 is to be announced by the Finance Miniter Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on February 1. Like the previous two budgets, this one will also be a paperless one as the government emphasises the use of digital mediums.

The finance minister’s full speech will be there on the ‘Union Budget Mobile App.’ The government’s app will also give access to the union budget document.

How to download the app?

The ‘Union Budget Mobile App’ is available on Google Play Store for Android devices and on the Apple App Store for iOS devices. The app can also be downloaded from https://www.indiabudget.gov.in/.

Steps to download for Android users:

  1. Search ‘Union Budget Mobile App’ on Google Play Store.
  2. Click on install.

Steps to download from the website:

  1. Visit https://www.indiabudget.gov.in/.
  2. Go to the Union Budget Web Portal.
  3. A widget saying ‘Download Mobile Application’ will pop out.
  4. Click on the widget and you will be directed to a new tab, with a section titled Union Budget App Download Center.
  5. You get the options of Android and iOS.
  6. Select your preference and you will be redirected to a new page.
  7. Hit the install button.

About the app

The Union budget Mobile App was launched in 2021. The app was developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the guidance of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA).

About Budget 2023-24

The budget session began on January 31 with President Droupadi Murmu addressing the Parliament. The Chief Economic Advisor Dr V Anantha Nageswaran presented the Economic Survey.

The budget will be out on February 1. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that they will raise issues of inflation, unemployment and the border dispute with China.
