New Delhi: Holidays, vacations and your off days bring a feeling of joy and also are the days for some rest. These days can easily be ruined as in most industries, an employee receives texts, e-mails, calls, or work updates from the office even on holidays. But not now, an Indian company has come up with a policy that will let its employees enjoy their days off.

employees on break

Reportedly, fantasy sports company Dream 11 has come with a Dream 11 Unplug policy that allows its employees to have complete holidays without their phones buzzing. Under this policy, employees can be cut off from work-related e-mails, texts, calls and their colleagues for a week.

The company shared about the Unplug policy on their LinkedIn account and wrote that they actually log off a ‘dreamster’ on a holiday from all work-related activities. The company ensures that no colleague contacts an employee while they are having their days off. The company noted that spending quality time with loved ones and relaxing on a vacation can improve the overall mood and productivity of an employee.

Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth

According to a CNBC report, the founders Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth said that if any employee reaches out to another during the ‘Unplug’ time, they will have to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh. They added that the policy has been brought out to ensure that the firm is not reliant on any employee. Anyone irrespective of their designation or date of joining can have their ‘Unplug’ period.

The employees are happy with the decision as they can completely disconnect and relax during a break from work.
