Gold Rate in India Today, March 21: Price of gold declines by Rs 500, silver slumps Rs 1; check rates here

Gold prices gradually moved down in international markets today (March 21, Tuesday ) ahead of the Federal Reserve policy meeting outcome on March 22.

New Delhi: Figures by Goodreturns today show a decline of ₹50 with a gram of 22-carat gold costing ₹5,480 compared to ₹5,530 on Monday in India

The rates of eight grams and 10 grams of 22-carat gold have also seen a slight decline with 400 and 500, presently the price is at 43,840 and 54,800 respectively.

Today the price of 24-carat gold has also slumped. The cost of one gram of 24k gold is 5,978 while eight grams and 10 grams are at 47,824 and 59,780 respectively. Also, the rate of 100 grams of 24-carat gold is 5,97,800.

According to Goodreturns, the prices for 24-carat gold-one gram, eight grams, 10 grams and 100 grams have also declined by 54, 432, 540, and 5,400 respectively from Monday

Meanwhile, the rates of silver has also seen a marginal decline today (March 21, Tuesday).

On Monday (March 20)  the Gold price touched a lifetime high of Rs 60,100 per 10 grams in the national capital amid strong global trends, according to HDFC Securities.

In the previous trade, the yellow metal ended at Rs 58,700 per 10 grams.
