Coronavirus in India: Positive cases cross 4000 mark & 109 deaths, says Health ministry data

The first death due to coronavirus was reported from Bhopal after a 62-year-old person suffering from the infection died on Sunday night, said state health officials.

New Delhi: The number of cases of the novel coronavirus across the globe crossed the 1 million mark as the global death toll topped 50,000. India has reported an increase of 490 COVID19 cases in the last 12 hours,  positive cases crossed 4000 mark – at 4067 (including 3666 active cases, 292 cured/discharged/migrated people and 109 deaths): Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

The first death due to coronavirus was reported from Bhopal after a 62-year-old person suffering from the infection died on Sunday night, said state health officials.

A total of 15 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the state so far. A total of 217 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the state so far. So far, 135 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Indore including nine deaths while 40 people have tested positive in Bhopal including one death.
