New Delhi: With electioneering reaching a feverish pitch, the BJP star campaigners have stepped up their campaign in all 70 constituencies of the national capital.

In past few days, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have taken to streets, held padyatras and roadshows to woo the electorate while 40 BJP star campaigners have turned up the heat on Kejriwal govt, holding it accountable for the ills plaguing the city.

BJP election committee, comprising of 15 senior leaders including Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari and BJP National General Secretary Dr Anil Jain are the one leading the fight against ‘fake’ governance of Kejriwal govt while exposing its ‘fooling tactics’.

Dr Anil Jain’s outreach to Delhi electorate:

Dr Anil Jain, BJP National General Secretary is canvassing in various parts of the city highlighting the pathetic performance of AAP government and how they can safeguard their future by voting for BJP.

In last few days, Dr Jain has participated in many door-to-door campaigns, held group meets in constituencies like Burari, Badli, Kalkaji constituencies, where BJP and AAP candidates are primarily the main contenders. He appealed to the people to vote for BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.

High-pitched poll battle in Delhi:

The electoral battle for Delhi turned ugly and vicious after Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia publicly announced support for Shaheen Bagh protesters.

Dr Jain, reacting to Sisodia’s remarks, launched unsparing attack on AAP leader for trying to give a communal spin to Delhi elections.

“When (Deputy CM) Manish Sisodia declared his support (for Shaheen Bagh), he was trying to consolidate Muslim votes. When (CM) Arvind Kejriwal said we (BJP) are backing Pakistan by granting Hindus citizenship, he was terming half of Delhi as Pakistanis,” Dr Jain told newsmen.

“When others try to consolidate Muslim votes, Hindus will support us. It’s not the BJP that set this narrative. They (our opponents) have made it Hindu-Muslim vote,” BJP general secretary added.

In the run-up to assembly elections, the AAP and Congress have repeatedly alleged that BJP is polarising the atmosphere over CAA protests for its political gains but the BJP countered this narrative by claiming it has rejected only those who support ‘breaking the country into pieces.’

Delhi will vote for a new chief minister on February 8 and the results will be declared on February 11.
