In the 2015 Assembly polls, AAP won 67 of the 70 seats while the BJP could win only three. Congress, which was in power for 15 years in Delhi from 1998 to 2013, failed to get any seat.

Flanked by Delhi unit BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, Union Minister Javadekar said that BJP is comfortably placed so far as the coming Assembly polls are concerned.
The Delhi Assembly has 70 seats and Delhi has a total of 1.43 crore voters, according to the Election Commission's record for the election Lok Sabha 2019.
