CBSE Class 10 result: 90% of transgender students clear the board exam

According to CBSE, overall 90% of transgender students have cleared the CBSE class 10 board exams.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the result of class 10 board exams on Friday. The students who appeared for the exams can check their results at its official website  – cbse.gov.in. Notably, 90% of students in the transgender category have passed the exam.

According to CBSE, overall 90% of transgender students have cleared the CBSE class 10 board exams. This year, the pass percentage of transgender students suffered a dip from the previous year. Notably, girls have done better by 1.41% than boys. In 2021, the pass percentage of transgender students recorded 94.74% while in 2020, 78.95% of students falling under the transgender category have passed the exam.

A total of 2109208 candidates have registered for the exam this year, while 2093978 candidates have appeared for it. A total of 1976668 students have passed the exam.

The region which saw the excellent result in class 10 board exams is Trivandrum with 99.68%. This is followed by Bengaluru and Chennai recording 99.22% and 98.97% respectively.

The students can also check their results on results.gov.in and digilocker.gov.in, apart from the official websites.

The term 2 examinations of CBSE class 10 were conducted from April 26 to May 24, at various centers across the country.
