CBSE Class 10 topper: Diya Namdev of UP’s Shamli secures 500 out of 500 marks

Student of Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, Diya Namdev scored 100 marks to become the topper of CBSE Class 10th. 

New Delhi: Student of Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, Diya Namdev scored 100 marks to become the topper of CBSE Class 10th. Girl students outshone boys with an overall pass percentage of 95.21%, while boys secured 93.80% in their class 10th Board examination. Among the regions in India, students of Kerala’s Trivandrum topped with 96.68%.

The results for the class 12th students of the CBSE board were declared at 9 PM, followed by the class 10th results at 2 PM.  In class 12th, Tanya Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr and Yuvakshi Vig of Noida topped by securing 500 out of 500 marks.

According to the Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj of the board, the CBSE has decided not to declare merit lists for board exams to avoid “unhealthy competition” among students.

The class 10th examination of CBSE students was held from April 26 to May 24.

In the examination, a total of 20,93,978 students appeared, while 19,76, 668 students passed examination. If we check the percentage of the class 10 region wise then Trivandrum comes at the top with 99.68%, followed by Bengaluru (99.22%), Chennai (98.97%), Ajmer (98.14), Patna (97.41).
