DU UG admissions 2023: First merit list released, how to check list

New Delhi: The Delhi University (DU) released the first merit undergraduate allocation list on Tuesday, clearing the decks for admission in undergraduate courses of prestigious varsity.

As per University officials, a total of 85,853 allocations were shortlisted in the first round. More than 2 lakh candidates were considered in the first round based on their program and college preferences.

As per University statement, 7,042 candidates were assigned seats based on their 1st preference while 22,000 candidates got seats from their 1st five preferences.

The admission in DU are underway for 71,000 seats, under 78 UG programmes and 198 BA (Bachelor of Arts) programme combinations in 68 colleges.

Shortlisted candidates have been given time till August 4 to accept their allocated seat. The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal facilitates good interface between candidates & colleges, as it enables former to accept their allocations and latter to scrutinize their applications.

Those candidates, whose applications get approved by respective colleges will have to submit their fees by August 6.

The University will further announce its second round of allocations on August 10. The selected candidates will have option to participate in the second round, provided they have made the fee payment.

Previously, the admission to coveted university was based on marks scored in Class 12th examinations but after 2021, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was brought as one platform for admissions in Central & State universities.

#  Window will open showing UG 1st Seat Allocation List
