DU Vice Chancellor Prof Yogesh Tyagi has been suspended by the ministry of education on Wednesday.
DU admissions 2020: The DU third cut off list is set to be released on October 24. Aspirants can keep their fingers crossed till tomorrow morning. Official figures suggest that about 70% seats in top colleges have already gone.
The first would be from morning 8 am to 10 am. The second would be from 12 noon to 2 pm and the third would be from 4 pm to 6 pm in the evening. The exams would be conducted in 24 different cities across India.
The press release also mentioned the details of Budget allocation by GNCTD to Delhi govt-funded DU colleges.
The applicants can choose the relevant courses while filling up their registration form and once submitted, following information related to entrance tests -- courses selected for entrance test and entrance test centre preferences -- cannot be changed, it added.
"For the sake of our youth, I urge Hon'ble PM to personally intervene and cancel final year exams of DU and other central government universities and save the future," Kejriwal tweeted while sharing his letter to Modi.
Delhi govt has decided to cancel all Delhi state university exams including final exams in view of COVID-19. The degree will be awarded based on evaluation parameters decided by the universities, said Manish Sisodia.
The varsity may start the registration process for admission to various courses on 8 June, as per the tentative schedule prepared by the admissions department.
The students are advised to keep checking the official website - www.exam.du.ac.in - at regular intervals.
Speaking about the incident on Thursday, a second-year student told ANI, "Taking advantage of the crowd, the men followed girls everywhere and groped them. They made girls uncomfortable and showed us that they have control over us. They derived pleasure from it."
