New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has published a case study on the Ahlcon International School (AIS) and its spectacular journey in last two decades, under the stewardship of the then principal Ashok Kumar Pandey.
The major thrust of the case study is on the professional development programme, undertaken at the Ahlcon International School between 2006 to 2016. Over a period of two years, the IIM A studied data collection, evidence gathering and also held personal interviews with stakeholders.

The case study also sheds light on the teacher development strategy adopted at the Ahlcon International School. The study researched in detail about steps taken for ‘effective’ teacher development programme and also the USPs that made the school stand out among others.
School’s expansion & adulation during Mr Pandey’s tenure
The Ahlcon International School was founded in year 2001 and Ashok Kumar Pandey joined it as its principal in 2003 and held the position till 2019.
Being at helm since 2003, Mr Ashok Pandey charted a comprehensive roadmap for school’s expansion & growth and worked assiduously with the students & management to realize the ambitious dream. By the time he stepped down from his position in 2019, the Ahlcon International School had created a name for itself and won many accolades & awards.
During the years 2006-2016 (taken into account by IIM-A), the school saw robust growth & expansion in terms of infrastructure & student enrolment and also earned laurels from all quarters. Under Mr Pandey’s exemplary leadership, the school carved a special name for itself and also set new benchmarks of operation. In any new activities & initiatives, the views & feedback of teachers were invited & incorporated for optimum output. Mr Pandey ensured that their feedback was taken into account in formulating any policy. This practice worked wonders in creating a healthy learning & mentoring environment at the school.
Currently, Mr Ashok Kumar Pandey is the director of Ahlcon Group of Schools. He is one of the rare educationists to find a place in Forbes India list. In 2020, he was featured in Top 100 Great People Managers list, prepared by Forbes India. An academician par excellence, he has won many awards and honours. He is also a recipient of the National Teachers Award.
