UPSC NDA & NA, CDS 2022: Notification to be released today, check details here

The candidates for Army Wing must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any other higher education institution

New Delhi: An important alert for the aspirants preparing for UPSC NDA and CDS Exams! The notification for the second edition of the National Defense Academy (NDA) examination and Combined Defense Services (CDS) examination for the year 2022, which are conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be released today, May 18, 2022.

The process of registration for UPSC NDA (2) and CDS (2) will also begin with the release of the notification. UPSC has fixed 14 June 2022 as the last date to apply for both the exams, while the exams are to be conducted on September 4, 2022.

Here’s how to apply:

The notification for both the exams will be released by UPSC on its official website, upsc.gov.in. Thereafter, the application process for both these exams will be started on the Commission’s application portal, upsconline.nic.in.

Steps to follow: 

1. Register yourself by filling in details on the official website

2. Now log in with the registration number and password

3. Fill in the application form by filling full name, age, and other details in the form

4. Pay the prescribed examination fee online

Eligibility Criteria

The detailed eligibility criteria will be published by UPSC in the notification to be released today. However, as per the notification issued for the previous examinations, to appear in the NDA exam for Army Wing, candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board. While for the Air Force and Naval Wing, Physics and Mathematics should be subjects in class 12th.

Similarly, to appear in the CDS exam, the candidates for Army Wing must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any other higher education institution.

For Naval Wing, candidates must be an engineering graduate. Whereas, for Air Force Wing, candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics and Maths subjects or graduation in Engineering.
