New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has been wreaking havoc at the Box Office ever since its release last week. Within 6 days of its theatrical run, the film has already shattered several records, amassing over Rs 300 crore in India and Rs 500 crore worldwide on ticket windows.
Although the Sandeep Reddy directorial has become a hot topic of discussion amongst the fans for various reasons, its most talked about aspects are Ranbir Kapoor’s and Tripti Dimri’s sizzling hot bedroom scenes which are going viral all over the internet.
In the particular scenes of the crime drama, Ranbir’s character Vijay and Tripti’s character Zoya Riaz are seen passionately making love with each other and the same is drawing mixed reactions from the moviegoers.
While some fans are praising the duo for being brave enough to feature in such highly intimate scenes, others are slamming them for glorifying unnecessary nudity in the film industry. Amidst all this, Tripti has finally spoken up about her experience while shooting the viral s*x scene of Animal.

Recalling the filming of her intimate scene with Ranbir, Tripti, while speaking with Etimes, revealed that there were 4 other people present in the room when she and Ranbir were getting filmed. She said, “There were literally just four people ( Ranbir, Sandeep, and the photography director.”) on the sets.
She later also praised Animal’s team for making sure she was comfortable before proceedings with the intimate scenes shoot saying,” Once in every few minutes, everyone was asking me if I am comfortable or need anything. When everyone around you is showing you so much support, you don’t feel odd in the slightest.”

Drawing a comparison of her rape scene from Netflix’s horror thriller Bulbul with Animal’s s*x scene, Tripti said that she found the rape seen from Bulbul more challenging than Animal’s intimate scene as she believes that surrendering and letting it all go is way harder than being brave enough to act.
“If I could fight off that (Bulbul’s rape scene) then this (animal’s intimate scene) is relatively less challenging for me”, the actress added further.

Later on, Tripti spoke about the criticism she had to face ever since her intimate scene went viral and said, “The scene is getting a lot of criticism. It did disturb me initially as I am someone who has hardly faced criticism, very little with my first few films. I was taken aback but I sat myself down and I thought about it. ”
“When I decided to become an actor, nobody forced me to become an actor, I wanted to do it because I found it exciting. As long as I am comfortable, as long as everyone around me on film sets is making me comfortable, as long as I believe whatever I am doing is not wrong, I am going to do it. Because that is something I want for myself, as an actor as well as a human being.”, Tripti told Etimes.
What’s next for Tripti Dimri?
On the work front, Tripti Dimri will next feature in Anand Tiwari’s rom-com Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam in which she will share the screen with renowned actor Vicky Kaushal. The drama will hit the screens next year on 23rd Feb 2024
