Ace OTT Release: Vijay Sethupathi’s crime comedy will stream online on ‘This’ platform after its theatrical run

Ace OTT Release: South Indian superstar Vijay Sethupathi is finally back to thrill the cinemagoers with his promising upcoming movie Ace.

Helmed and written by Arumuga Kumar, the crime comedy will see the actor share the frame with Kannada actress Rukmani Vasanth, who is celebrated for her roles in several hit movies, including Saagaradaache Ello – Side A and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side B. The movie will hit the big screens on May 23rd, 2025, and later, will make its OTT premiere on a renowned streaming platform.

Where will Ace Stream online after its theatrical run? 

Ace, the action-packed crime thriller headed by Vijay Sethupathi, will make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video after landing on the big screens.

This means that besides the theaters, fans will also get the option to enjoy this thrilling flick online right from the comfort of their homes. However, the exact date of the film’s digital premiere is not yet announced and will most likely be unveiled by the makers not before late June 2025.

Plot

Far away from the horrors of his past life behind, Bold Kannan, a mysterious man, lands in Malaysia to start a new life full of simplicity and peace of mind.

However, a series of unforeseen events occurs to foil the guy’s plans, and he finds himself entangled in the web of the city’s underworld after getting involved in an ambitious heist that brings him face-to-face wth notorious smugglers, gamblers, and other outlaws of the area.  How Kannan takes on his enemies while working simultaneously on the heist that can change his fate forever is the remaining story of the movie.

Besides Vijay and Rukmani, Yogi Babu, Divya Pillai, and Babloo Prithveera will also be seen portraying as key characters in Ace. Arumuga Kumar, the film’s director and writer, has himself backed the romantic action drama under the banner of 7Cs Entertainments.
