Actor Arjun Kapoor remembers mom Mona on Death Anniversary, pens an emotional note: Check here

Arjun wrote a tearful note to Mona, saying he misses her. He described himself as a “lost child,” adding that he wished she was there to help him navigate this brutal world.

New Delhi: Arjun Kapoor wrote a sorrowful statement on the 11th anniversary of his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor’s death. Arjun took to Instagram to share a vintage photo of himself with his mother and poured his heart out. Arjun wrote a tearful note to Mona, saying he misses her. He described himself as a “lost child,” adding that he wished she was there to help him navigate this brutal world.

I didn’t give a damn about what people thought or felt because I always had you in front of me to remind me of who and what I was. 11 years have gone by since you became the shield that shields me down from on high, but I still wish you were here. In this harsh world these days, I attempt to cope with all the hate, yet I truly miss your love, which made me deal with all things with a grin on my face and transformed me into a stronger person—a happier person—a calmer person—perhaps even perhaps—a more alive soul.

Without you Maa, I’m still this lost child. I search for you everywhere because I’m lost, exactly like in this picture, yet I always have a feeling that you’re happy and watching out for me somehow. We will eventually meet, he continued.

Anshula Kapoor also posted a tribute to Mona on her Instagram account earlier in the day. In 2012, Mona Shourie Kapoor died from multiple organ failure. Throwback images of Arjun and his sister Anshula with their deceased mother have frequently been posted on social media.

Arjun recently wrote a note honoring his mother when Anshula made her wedding entrance. I hope you’re laughing and observing her today, mum… Missed having you there to see the development of your daughter, he added while posting a clip of Anshula scaling the ramp.
