Actor Jacqueline Fernandez leaves EoW Delhi office, quizzed several hours in extortion case (VIDEO)

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez left for home after several hours of questioning in the Economic Offences Wing (EoW) in a Rs 200 crore extortion case linked to jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. 

New Delhi: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez left for home after several hours of questioning in the Economic Offences Wing (EoW) in a Rs 200 crore extortion case linked to jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. The Bollywood actor was called for the second time for questioning in the case. The officials of the EoW had asked her to report to the office in Delhi at 11 AM today.

In the video, Jacqueline Fernandez can be seen leaving the office in her white-coloured car with her lawyer.

In the case, the officials also summoned fashion designer Leepakshi. According to the reports, Sukesh paid her to design costumes for Fernandez. Talking to the media, Special commissioner of police (EOW) Ravindra Singh Yadav said that the actor was called last time on September 14 when was questioned for over eight hours.

Notably, Fernandez is accused of involving in financial transactions with Sukesh Chandrashekhar despite being aware of Chandrashekhar’s involvement in criminal cases. Fernandez’s name is mentioned in the charge sheet of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

In the case, the EOW also questioned actor Nora Fatehi in connection with her links to Chandrashekhar.

Chandrashekhar is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh, the wife of jailed former Ranbaxy owner Shivinder Singh, on the promise of helping her to release her husband from jail on bail.
