New Delhi: Prabhas much-anticipated movie Adipurush made its way to the theaters on 16 June.
Ignoring all the ongoing criticism, trolling, and negativity, the mega movie has been unstoppable at the box office and has minted over 300 crores within the first three days of its release.
However, despite its success at the box office, Adipurush has continuously faced backlash on social media from netizens and critics for its cartoonish VFX and cheap dialogues.
Adipurush one of the Worst Rated Bollywood Movies of all time
Recently, the movie also made it to the infamous list of IMDB’s bottom 100 by securing 33rd position in the said list. The list features Desh Drohi (2008), Himmatwala (2013), and Humshakals (2014) as the top three worst-rated Bollywood movies of all time.
Adipurush IMDb Rating Drops
Prior to its release, the Om Raut directorial had a decent IMDb rating of 5.7/10 on the platform. However, amid the ongoing outcry against the movie ratings have significantly fallen down to 4.3/10.
Adipurush Wreaks Havoc at the Box Office.
No matter the amount of criticism and backlash the movie has received, its box office run has been simply impressive so far.
The Prabhas and kirti sanon starter entered into the prestigious 200 crore club at the domestic box office by clocking almost 216 crores within its first weekend. Speaking of its overseas performance, the divine tale has won hearts here as well with an impressive collection of Rupees 114 crores (gross) in just three days which takes its overall collection to a whopping 340 crores.
Now, it will be interesting to see if the mega movie is able to continue its dominance at the box office in the upcoming week or not.
