After Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan’s next on netizen’s boycott list; Know why

Netizens line up on Twitter, calling out for a boycott of Roshan’s upcoming ‘Vikram Vedha’, a Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster of same name

New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan took some time off from his busy schedule to stand in solidarity with actor Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor as he was papped coming out of a movie theatre in Mumbai after watching backlash-facing movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ on Saturday.

He even gave a loud shout-out for the Hindi remake of the legendary Hollywood film Forrest Gump as he tweeted, “Just watched LAAL SINGH CHADDA. I felt the HEART of this movie. Pluses and minuses aside, this movie is just magnificent. Don’t miss this gem guys ! Go ! Go now . Watch it. It’s beautiful. Just beautiful”.

However, quite opposite to what Roshan had expected, he was the next target on the boycott list of social media users, who have been calling out for a complete boycott of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ since its first look arrived in the public domain.

The reason follows a long list of events or remarks on which the general Hindi audience is fuming over, Aamir’s controversial statement about not feeling safe in India being one of them.

Apart from that, Netizens are also anguished over Khan’s previous movie ‘PK’ mocking the Hindu faith and symbols, as well as Kareena Kapoor’s remark on nepotism wherein she urged people not to watch their movies if they don’t support nepotism in the industry.

Now that Hrithik have come up in support of the film, Netizens line up on microblogging site Twitter calling out for a boycott of Roshan’s upcoming ‘Vikram Vedha’, which also happens to be a Hindi remake of a Tamil blockbuster of same name.
