Alangu OTT Release Date: Gunanidhi and Kaali Venkat recently shared the frame in S. P. Shakthivel’s action-packed film titled Alangu. On December 27th, 2024, the movie landed on the big screens amid massive buzz but remained unsuccessful in attracting fans to the theaters. Ultimately, the thriller entertainer ended its box office run with disappointing collections and is now available for watching online.

Alangu is currently available for watching online on Amazon Prime Video which is the official digital partner of the movie. However, one may note that only those having a prime membership can access it on the OTT platform.
Plot of the Movie
Loosely based on real-life events, Alangu, written and directed by S.P Shakthivel, revolves around the clashes that took place between Tamil Nadu’s tribal youth and Kerela’s powerful political bodies at the border of these two Southern Indian states.
The film shows how the protagonist, Dharma, after finding himself caught up in this chaotic face-off between the two groups, navigates through the tense environment while trying his best to de-escalate the situation.
Cast and Production
Alangu, in its star cast, features Gunanidhi, Kaali Venkat, Chemban Vinod and Appani Sarath, Shanmugam Muthusamy, Master Ajay, Sreerekha, Kotravai, Idhayakumar, and Regin Rose in main roles.
D Sabareesh, in association with S.A. Sangamithra, has bankrolled the movie under DG Film Company and Magnas Productions with S. Pandikumar serving as its cinematographer.
