Anuja OTT Release: Adam J. Graves’s Hindi short film Anuja, which premiered at the HollyShorts Film Festival back in August 2024, is all set to land on a renowned OTT platform.
Backed by Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Guneet Monga, and Kaling, the movie, which features Sajda Pathan and Ananya Shanbhag in key roles, has also been shortlisted for the Best Live Action Short Film at the 97th edition of Academy Awards (Oscars) that will be held on March 2, 2025, at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Where to watch Anuja online on OTT?
Netflix, which has emerged as the official streaming partner for Anuja has purchased the film’s OTT rights and is all set to make it available for the fans in the coming days.
Taking to its official Social media handle, the digital stream also teased the netizens by providing them a sneak peek into the movie’s story. However, the platform refrained from unveiling the OTT premiere date of the Sajda Pathan starrer.
Plot of the Movie
Anuja is the heartwrenching tale of a 9-year-old girl Anuja who works as a labor at a Delhi-based Garment factory along with her elder sister Palak. One day, Anuja’s life takes an unexpected turn and she gets the opportunity to attend school for the first time. What happens next and how this one choice changes the destiny of both sisters forever is the remaining story of the movie.
Cast and Production
In addition to Sajda Pathan and Ananya Shanbhag, Anuja also features an enable of skilled actors including Rudolfo Rajeev Hubert, Sunita Bhadauria, Gulshan Walia, Sushil Parwana, Pankaj Gupta, Nagesh Bhonsle, and Jugal Kishore in pivotal roles.
Mindy Kaling, Guneet Monga, Suchitra Mattai, Krushan Naik, Michael Graves, Aaron Kopp, Ksheetij Saini, Alexandra Blaney, and Devananda Graves have produced the movie under the banners of Salaam Baalak Trust, Shine Global, Graves Films, and Krushan Naik Films.
