As Sharad Malhotra turns 40, actor talks about his ‘dream journey’ on TV and OTT

He opens up about how he has been judged by people for being a television actor and wanted to work for other mediums.

New Delhi: Actor Sharad Malhotra turns 40 today, January 9. Coincidently, the actor also completes 18 years in the television industry and his acting career.

At this stage of his career, he opens up about how he has been judged by people for being a television actor and wanted to work for other mediums.

Although many of the daily soap actors have opened up and talked about people being partial between television actors and Bollywood actors, this is what Sharad Malhotra has to say. People approach him at events and functions and tell him, ‘he’s a television actor,’. According to him, he doesn’t comprehend this division. Every actor must be treated as one as creativity lies everywhere.

“We release new episodes each day because the public wants and expects them. People are paying attention to television actors. But it irritates me when people say he’s only a television actor and won’t be able to be doing OTT or Bollywood films. My blood is boiling…. We work day and night to prove ourselves, and yet we are being critiqued,” he added calling it very unfair.

However, there are certain actors who made it to big screens such as Shushant Singh Rajput, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, and many others.

Sharad Malhotra is a popular television actor who has been in the industry for over 18 years now. He is well-known for his roles in serials such as Kasam, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Naagin Season 5,  and others, and has received a lot of praise for them.

He was recently seen in the web series Ratri Ke Yatri Season 2, which was available on MX Player and Hungama Player.
