New Delhi: ‘Mr Perfectionist’ as he is lovingly called by cinebuffs and media, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan came under fire from another popular actress Kangana Ranaut.
Kangana, known for speaking her mind, came down on Aamir Khan on social media and termed him ‘bechara’, over a book launch event which the latter attended. Her unprovoked attack on Aamir Khan baffled the netizens initially but then many found reason in her outburst.

Aamir Khan was attending an event hosted by renowned columnist & novelist Shobhaa De for her book launch – ‘Insatiable – My Hunger for Life’. While interacting with the media, the actor was asked whom does he think will be the most fit to portray the role of writer Shobhaa De.
In reply, Laal Singh Chaddha took many names including Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra & Alia Bhatt, calling them strong characters. But, then the writer reminded him of one strong actress he missed. As he couldn’t gather who she was, De told him that he has forgotten Kangana Ranaut. Following this, Aamir admitted that she would be a great fit and also called ‘strong actress’.
Kangana, taking note of the video, slammed the actor and called it a deliberate conspiracy by lead Bollywood actor to suppress small town talent.
“Bechara Aamir Khan … ha ha he tried his best to pretend like he doesn’t know me,” tweeted Kangana.

Kangana also commended the novelist for remembering her contribution to cinema despite having political divergent views.
“Shobaa ji and I have opposing political views but that doesn’t stop her from acknowledging my art, hard work and dedication to my craft that is the reflection of one’s integrity and value system…. Wish you the best for your new book ma’am,” she said.

While tearing into Aamir Khan, Kangana also took a swipe at her contemporary actress. Aamir suggested 3 names for playing Shobaa De including Priyanka, Deepika & Alia. Responding to his suggestions, Kangana said that none of these actresses have any National Award while she has bagged it three times.
Later, some user reminded her that she has 4 national awards in her kitty.
