New Delhi: Fans have been left in shock after one of their favourite celebrity couples, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth decided to part their ways of 18 years of togetherness on January 17. Dhanush issued a statement on Twitter saying, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with it (sic).”

NAGA CHAITANYA AND SAMANTHA RUTH PRABHU
The couple was married for 4 years, however, on October 2, 2021, they announced the news of their separation, ahead of their wedding anniversary. Following Samantha’s dropping of ‘Akkineni’ from her Instagram handle, rumours about their separation started to spread. Months after, the duo issued an official statement about their separation.
AMALA PAUL AND AL VIJAY
Actress Amala Paul tied the knot with director AL Vijay in 2014. Two years after their wedding, the duo announced their separation. They officially got divorced in 2017. Reportedly, Amala dated a Mumbai-based singer named Bhavninder Singh, however, their relationship did not work out. On the other hand, AL Vijay is married to R Aishwarya.
ASHWIN RAMKUMAR AND SOUNDARYA
Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya parted her way from Chennai-based industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar after seven years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in 2010 and after seven years they proceeded towards a divorce. Taking to Twitter, Soundarya stated, “News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year and divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family’s privacy (sic).” Reportedly, the couple lived separately for around 7 months before getting divorced.
AKHIL AKKINENI AND SHRIYA BHUPAL
The duo was engaged to one another but parted their ways in 2017. Even before their marriage, the Nagarjuna’s son Akhil Akkineni separated from Shriya Bhupal. Reportedly, they planned a wedding in Italy.
