New Delhi: Along with Stranger Things and Squid Game, Money Heist has been one of Netflix’s most-viewed programmes since 2017. Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area was therefore created by Netflix in 2022. Based on the most recent data provided by the massive OTT service, the Spanish version is still the second most popular, with 106,000,000 views.
Set in Madrid, the original Money Heist follows a group of eight individuals, codenamed “City Names,” as they embark on a daring mission to steal €984 million from the Royal Mint of Spain. The plot thickens as the enigmatic “Professor” recruits them for the heist.
Meanwhile, an operation including strategists and desperados with diverse talents and traits, confronting strange scenarios, was seen in the Korean version.
Now, the spin-off series Berlin from Money Heist will premiere on OTT services on December 29.

Plot of Berlin
Before “Money Heist” takes place, Berlin and his skilled team meet in Paris to plot their most daring heist to yet.
Berlin used to run a gang of his own and pull out big heists all across Europe, as the creators have revealed. Berlin is planning to rob Paris of yet another large sum this time. At the exclusive auction house Chez Vienot, Maison des Encheres, Berlin intends to steal artefacts valued at €44 million.

Leading stars Najwa Nimri, Itziar Ituno, Julio Pena, and Pedro Alonso play the roles of Berlin, Cameron, Tristan Ulloa, and Keila, respectively, in the series.
‘Bruce,’ played by Joel Sanchez, is an indisputably action-oriented character; ‘Cameron,’ played by Begoa Vargas, is emotionally deranged; ‘Roi,’ played by Julio Pea Fernandez, is a devout romantic; and ‘Keila,’ played by Michelle Jenner, is an expert in electronics. Tristan Ulloa will portray the part of ‘Damian,’ the professor and friend of Berlin.
