New Delhi: Shweta Tiwari, the popular television actress has landed in trouble after she made a controversial remark regarding God while referring to her innerwear. During the promotion of her upcoming web series ‘Show Stopper’ in Bhopal, she made the controversial statement saying, “Mere bra ki size bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking the measurements for my bra).”
Within seconds, the video of this clip from the press conference has gone viral all over the internet. Though jokingly said, the remark was not very gladly accepted by many. Reportedly, she referred to Sourabh Raaj Jain, who is popular in playing the role of Lord Krishna in the TV serial Mahabharata will be seen playing the role of bra fitter in the web series.
Now another clipping from the press conference has gone viral which was shared by Bollywood paparazzo Viral Bhayani in his official Instagram account, where the actress was heard saying, “Bhagwan se seedha bra fitter”. Here also, the actress referred to the character played by Sourabh Raaj Jain in ‘Show Stopper’. Unfortunately, Shweta was called out for her “insensitive” statement by netizens. One user wrote, “Shameless,” while another commented, “Just think before you speak.”

On Thursday, Madhya Pradesh home minister, Narottam Mishra took notice of Shweta’s controversial remark. He directed the police to investigate her remark and submit a report within 24 hours. Following this, the police in Bhopal registered a case against the actress for hurting religious sentiment through her remark on God.
‘Show Stopper’, the new web series will feature Rohit Roy, Digangana Suryavanshi, and Sourabh Raaj Jain in the lead roles apart from Shweta Tiwari. The web series revolves around the fashion industry and has been shot in many places of Bhopal.
