After initially premiering at the prestigious SXSW film fest on March 11, 2023, the road trip drama graced the cinemas in February 2024 & received a mixed reception from the cinegoers.
Currently, it is streaming online on Amazon Prime Video where viewers can access it right from their home’s comfort in both Hindi and English Language.
Plot of the Movie
Written by Vera Bulder Ruby Caster and Clara McGregor, Bleeding Love sees a middle-aged man (Played by Ewan) embarking on an adventurous road trip journey to Santa Fe with his estranged daughter (Played by Clara).
The duo has decided to take the trip after realizing that the young girl has inherited his father’s drug addiction problems and is indulging in the consumption of heavy doses of drugs on a frequent basis.
How they cross paths and make bonds with a number of new people during the trip & how it helps them fix their strained relationship is what the movie is all about.
Cast and Production
Helmed by Emma Westenberg, Bleeding Love in its cast sees Clara McGregor and Ewan McGregor essaying the lead roles of the father and daughter. Additionally, the film also features other actors including Kim Vera Bulder, Zimmer, Jake Weary, and Devyn McDowell as side characters.
Mark Amin, in collaboration with Christine Vachon, Cami Winikoff, Clara McGregor, Vera Bulder, Mason Plotts, and Greg Lauritano are the producers of the movie who have bankrolled it under the banners of Black Magic, Sobini Films, Killer Films, and Deux Dames Entertainment.
