Bollywood actors Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan booked for flouting Covid-19 norms

BMC has put all Sohail, Arbaaz and Sohail’s son under quarantine in Mumbai’s Taj Lands End hotel. After completing their stay, an RT PCR test will be done to ensure they are not infected by the novel coronavirus.

New Delhi: Bollywood actors Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan have been booked by the Mumbai Police for alleged violation of quarantine norms, police officials said. Case has also been filed against Sohail Khan’s son Nirvaan Khan.

The three had arrived from Dubai but instead of quarantining in a facility, they went straight to their home.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has put all three of them under quarantine in Mumbai’s Taj Lands End hotel. After completing their stay, an RT PCR test will be done to ensure they are not infected by the novel coronavirus.

As per the standard protocol to fight Covid-19, the BMC will also conduct contact tracing to check if those who accompanied them were also affected with Coronavirus.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the trio under Section 188 IPC under 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act on the complaint of a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) medical officer. The FIR was been filed at Khar police station.
