New Delhi: Joram, a survival thriller directed by Devashish Makhija and shown at the Busan International Film Festival, will have its global theatrical distribution via Zee Studios on December 01.
In addition, on December 01, Ranbir Kapoor’s powerful dark action film Animal and Vicky Kaushal’s historical biopic Sam Bahadur will compete at the box office.
On the 8th of December this year, the Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif film Merry Christmas will compete with the Sidharth Malhotra film Yodha. The films Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salaar starring Prabhas will also clash this December.
And now there’s yet another movie set to clash in theatres in December. According to Bollywood Hungama, the release dates of Animal and Sam Bahadur would collide with the release of Manoj Bajpayee-Joram on December 01.

Joram, according to a source, has been well-received in film festivals. Zee Studios, the film’s creators, are optimistic that it will do well at the box office when it is finally released.
The Zee crew, according to the source, is aware that Animal and Sam Bahadur are also set to release on the same day. However, thanks to their well-thought-out release strategy, they will have no trouble securing enough theatres to show the picture. In addition, they want to sell the picture well so that it may find an audience.

Dasru, played by the star actor Manoj Bajpayee, is a tribal migrant labourer in Mumbai who, as his history catches up with him, is forced to leave with his baby daughter Joram. A Mumbai police officer, played by Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub is on the trail of Dasru. A malicious tribal politician, portrayed by Smita Tambe, is also involved. Tannishtha Chatterjee and Rajshri Deshpande, two highly regarded performers, both make cameo cameos in the film.
Numerous festivals, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Sydney Film Festival, the 28th Busan International Film Festival, etc., have awarded the film top honours.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga co-wrote and directed the forthcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller Animal, which was produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri also feature in the movie. The cinematography has been done by Amit Roy.
The original release date of August 11, 2023, for Animal, was moved back to December 1, 2023, so that more time could be spent on post-production.

The forthcoming Indian Hindi film Sam Bahadur is a biographical war drama based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first field marshal. Meghna Gulzar helms the project, and she also collaborated on the script alongside Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava. Vicky Kaushal plays the lead role, and the film also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neeraj Kabi, and others under the RSVP Movies label.
