
New Delhi: In honour of the South Korean boy band BTS’s tenth anniversary, a documentary series titled “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star” will premiere on Disney Plus on December 20. Their agency, BigHit Music, earlier announced on the international fan site Weverse that the eight-episode series will be released on the streaming service in separate parts.

About the Series
Since their 2013 debut with ‘No More Dreams’, BTS has become the most influential K-pop group of all time, cementing their place in K-pop history. This K-pop group has won a slew of international awards for their hits like Dynamite, Universe, Mic Drop, Fake Love, Idol, Butter, Boy With Love, Fire, DNA and many others.
They’ve also been nominated for Grammys, American Music Awards, The Asia Awards, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Swiss Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and quite a few more.
So, Disney has produced a special documentary – BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star – to commemorate the K-pop group’s 10 years in the industry. The documentary will reveal BTS’s origin story as well as their impact on the evolution of the Hallyu Wave and their role in making history.
Many teaser and trailer videos have already been unveiled.
Summary of the Series
From their debut to the current day, the series will include personal tales, never-seen-before videos, and more. The show will follow the worldwide pop stars through their ups and downs over a decade.
On December 20, the BTS ARMYs will finally be able to see the documentary premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar, kicking off an incredible year-end. All seven members will share stories of their friendship, and connection in the documentary.
When and Where to Watch the Documentary Series?
The highly anticipated BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is set to premiere exclusively on Disney Plus Hotstar on December 20, 2023.
Hotstar will release two episodes at the same time, in pairs. The first two episodes will air on December 20, 2023, at 5 PM KST. The third and fourth will air on December 27, 2023, at 5 PM KST. The fifth and sixth will air on January 3, 2024, at 5 PM KST. And lastly, the seventh and eighth episodes will air on January 10, 2024, at 5 PM KST.

Other Details
Since all seven members of BTS—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—are now serving in the South Korean military, the group work has been temporarily paused. According to Big Hit, BTS intends to reunite in 2025, when all seven members will have served their time in the military.
