Cannes 2023: Anurag Kashyap, Vikram Motwane attend screening for Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

The Indian film directors were spotted at the red carpet and Anurag also took to social media to share some pictures from event.

New Delhi: Filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane attended the screening for Martin Scorsese’s film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ at the Canned Film Festival 2023. The Indian film directors were spotted at the red carpet and Anurag also took to social media to share some pictures from event. He also shared a video of Scorsese greeting his fans.

Anurag has been vocal about his love for Scorsese and the relationship they share, and the same was visible in his Instagram post. Anurag shared pictures with Vikram Motwane and film producer Kabir Ahuja. They were seen in black suits as they made it to the red carpet. Writing about the film, Anurag lauded Scorsese for delivering good films each time.

Kashyap’s all-black outfit was designed by celebrity designer Manish Malhotra.

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, and the actors were seen accompanying Martin Scorsese to the screening. The film follows an FBI investigation as members of the Osage tribe in the United States are murdered in the 1920s. Inspired by David Grann’s book, the film also features Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, and John Lithgow.

Martin Scorsese received a standing ovation for his film as he brought a film to Cannes after 1986.

Anurag Kashyap is at Cannes 2023 for the screening of his film ‘Kennedy’ starring Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhat, and Abhilash Thapliyal. The movie revolves around an insomniac ex-cop presumed to be dead, who is looking for redemption. CEO of Good Bad Films, Ranjan Singh, is also accompanying Kashyap at the film festival.
