New Delhi: Tamil superstar Dhanush finally made his much-awaited arrival on the big screens with his latest Tamil action adventurer Captain Miller which has been released worldwide in the theaters today.
As per the early reviews, Captain Miller has so far received an overwhelming response from moviegoers & critics who are already hailing it as the best-ever movie of Dhanush’s acting career. While some are praising the movie for the actor’s captivating presence on the screen, others are impressed by its intriguing plot and exceptional direction.
Overall, the movie looks all set to witness a massive opening-day collection, becoming one of the most successful Tamil movies of 2024.

Meanwhile, as per the reports, the makers of Dhanush Starrer have unveiled the official digital partner of the movie which is the leading OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
This means that following its theatrical run, Captain Miller will arrive on Amazon Prime Video, and users with a basic subscription to the platform’s service will be able to enjoy the period drama from the comfort of their homes.
Meanwhile, as the majority of southern Indian movies make their digital debut after 4 to 5 weeks of their big-screen release, one can expect the arrival of Captain Miller on the OTT platform by the end of February 2024. However, any official word from the makers regarding the film’s OTT release date is yet to be made.
Captain Miller Story
The adventure drama, set in the period of the colonial era sees Dhanush (Captain Miller) as a member of an oppressed community living in miserable conditions under the British Raj. driven by the intense urge to bring a change & put an end to his community’s suffering due to the prevalent castist practices, Dhanush decides to enroll in the imperial army and join the British.
However, he soon finds himself questioning his decision to join hands with the British after being compelled to open fire at a group of peaceful protesters from his own country. Disturbed by the bloodshed of his countrymen, Miller then takes up arms against the British Empire, turning into the Empire’s living Nightmare.

Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, Captian Miller sees Dhanush as the main protagonist with several actors including Shivaraj Kumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, John Kokken, Aditi Balan, and Edward Sonnenblick in supporting roles.
It has been produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan and was released under the banner of Sathya Jyoti Films on 12 January 2024.
