New Delhi: Dhanush stars in Captain Miller, a historical action-adventure film written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. The IMAX and 2D versions of Captain Miller were released in theatres on January 12, 2024. On February 9, 2024, after a successful theatrical run, the Dhanush-starring film will make its way on the OTT platform.
Taking place in the 1930s and following a man’s battle for freedom, Captain Miller is both an interesting and emotionally wrenching film, according to the filmmaker. It has been very satisfying to see the acclaim the film has garnered since it presents Dhanush in a manner that the public has never seen before.

Plot
Analeesan, also known as Easa, is the protagonist of Captain Miller, a story that takes place in the time before independence. Sengannam, his older brother, is an active participant in the Independence Movement, whilst Easa is a passive observer of the movement.
The fighting that occurs in the hamlet, on the other hand, prompts him to join the British Indian Army to gain some respect. During his time there, he earned the nickname “Captain Miller,” but a tragic event forces him to confront the truth, which ultimately transforms him into a revolutionary.
When and Where to Watch?
With its release, the first instalment in a trilogy, Captain Miller, has amassed excellent box office statistics. With digital streaming rights acquired by Amazon Prime Video, the film will debut on over-the-top services on February 9, 2024.
Earlier, the launch date was confirmed and Amazon Prime Video stated on its official social media sites, saying, “what makes a soldier go rogue? the answer lies in Miller’s journey

Cast and Crew
Priyanka Arulmohan, Sundeep Kishan, Nassar, John Kokken, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Shivarajkumar are among the many notable actors who feature with Dhanush in this film.
In 2018, Matheswaran wrote the screenplay, and Sathya Jyothi Films had original intentions to produce it. Nevertheless, the idea was still in its early stages until 2019, when it started to solidify. The composer is G. V. Prakash Kumar, the cinematographer is Siddhartha Nuni, and the editor is Nagooran Ramachandran.
