“Chor Bazar Ka Maal”: Swara Bhaskar trolled for wearing Pakistani Designer’s Lehenga at her Walima

The actress described how her Lehenga took 3 destination-stop in Pakistan, Dubai, and Mumbai before arriving in Delhi. She thanked the designer and wrote many words of appreciation for him.

New Delhi: A month ago, Swara Bhaskar shocked everyone by marrying political activist Fahad Ahmed. Since then the actress has been subjected to incessant trolling.

Recently, Swara took to Twitter to share her Walima ceremony look. She dropped pics of her adorned in a gorgeous cream-colored Lehenga embellished with work of gold. The actress revealed that her Walima Lehenga is designed by Ali Xeeshan, a Pakistani designer.

The actress described how her Lehenga took 3 destination-stop in Pakistan, Dubai, and Mumbai before arriving in Delhi. She thanked the designer and wrote many words of appreciation for him.

The trolls didn’t seem to like it even a bit and questioned why she opted for a Pakistani designer instead of an Indian one. “Indian designers must be out of your budget,” wrote a user.

Some users took a jab at Pakistan’s current economic crisis and indebtedness and compared her dress to a ‘Chor Bazar Ka Item.’

Going back and forth with the Shraddha murder case, some trolls made distasteful ‘refrigerator jokes.’

On the other side, fans were left stunned by Swara Bhaskar’s look and showered her with compliments and blessings.

“Gorgeous and you look even gorgeous in it,” wrote a fan.

“Looking out of the world,” commented the second user.

Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmed’s Walima ceremony was held at a royal event in Bareilly.
The duo organized a grand feast for the occasion. Besides the newly-married couple’s family and friends, many leaders from Samajwadi Party and Congress also attended the event.

While Swara looked no less than a royal begum, Fahad also matched her in a light beige Sherwani.
