New Delhi: Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, has been updated for a second season. Prime Video announced on Thursday that the global blockbuster series Citadel has been extended for a second season, with Joe Russo scheduled to helm every episode and executive producer David Weil continuing as showrunner.
The news come about a month after the original explanation was made public. Priyanka Chopra plays Nadia Sinh, an agent who, according to the file, is deceased. The agent, on the other hand, is still alive, but her memory has been obliterated. She feels obliged to remember everything since the details in her memory will help her and Richard Madden’s character save the Earth.

“Citadel is a truly global phenomenon,” said Jennifer Salke, chief of Amazon and MGM Studios. “Our objective was always to create another franchise based on original IP that would expand Prime Video’s international audience.” This show has attracted a large number of new international subscribers to Prime Video. “Its huge global debut viewer is a testament to Joe and Anthony Russo’s amazing vision, the outstanding talents of Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lesley Manville, and Stanley Tucci, and the tireless efforts of the team of creators, cast, and crew,” she added.

In the meantime, an Indian version of Citadel is being developed. It will star Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan and will be directed by Raj and DK of The Family Man. While not much is known about Citadel India at the moment, Priyanka Chopra has confirmed that the tales are linked. “Raj and DK are amazing, talented people who will add their own spin to the Indian installment.” “I’m very excited,” she explained.
