New Delhi: Met Gala for comic lovers, Comic-Con International, is back in its physical form after 2019. The event is being held in San Diego Convention Center from July 21 to July 24, 2022. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held through online mediums in 2020 and 2021. Celebrities, comic cosplayers and comic book fans are filling in the Convention Center.
While COVID-19 is still there around, fans are attending the event with their masks on, while many were seen wearing their superhero or comic character masks as well. Comic cosplayers attending the event dressed up as various comic book characters such as Captain Carter, Moon Knight, Wonder Woman and many more.
It is not just a festival for comic lovers, but a great venue for film and TV show makers to make announcements regarding upcoming projects, launch trailers and share news. The Announced panels include Warner Bros. and the DC Universe’s Black Adam. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will play the titular role in the film. The panel will also include director Jaume Collet-Serra, and the stars playing Hawkman, Dr Fate, and other characters. Warner Bros. will provide a preview of ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’.
Marvel Studios is expected to share some news or teaser for its upcoming projects ‘ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and the web series ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’. Amazon will also be at the event with their panel for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’.
