Dainee OTT Release: “Dainee” is an upcoming Bengali web series set to premiere on Hoichoi. Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, the series features Mimi Chakraborty and Shruti Das in pivotal roles.
The series delves into the dark realities of superstition and societal conflicts, highlighting the clash between deeply rooted beliefs and the pursuit of justice.

Plot
The narrative centers on two sisters who become entangled in a harrowing witch-hunt within their village. As the sisters navigate this perilous journey, they confront age-old prejudices and fight for survival. This sheds light on the strength of familial bonds amidst adversity.
The witch-hunt practice in their village haunts them. It is a prejudiced part of the crucial tradition and values embedded into them since the very beginning of their lives.
The two sisters have to fight their way through the tangents and learn to survive. All the while also looking out for each other. Their harrowing situation seems to have no end to it.
In the end, the sisters might have to dirty their hands in stains of blood and stolen lives. This is all done to ensure their own survival. The sisters only have each other to rely on and nobody can be easily trusted. The practice of witch hunt makes them an easy target, something the sisters have to escape if they want to survive.
This sinister plot of survival through the dark clasps of societal practices and the evolution of society from where it started to where it leads is the main highlight of this series.
