In the second episode of Made in Heaven 2, actor Mrunal Thakur, who portrays one of the brides, was seen wearing garments designed by Tarun Tahiliani. These designs were introduced to her character by a fictitious designer named Akshay Jaiswal (played by Kashyap Harsha Shangari) and were presented under a fictional label.
Fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani took to Instagram Stories to express his disappointment. He posted a photo of Mrunal Thakur, who plays a bride in Made in Heaven 2, wearing one of his outfits. Tarun expressed his frustration that the popular OTT series had disregarded the understanding behind the provision of clothing. He shared that his studio had provided clothes to the stylist in good faith for significant portions of the second episode.
Tarun expressed his disappointment further, pointing out that a fictitious designer on the show had presented his garments under a fictional label. He considered this to be a breach of trust and suggested that if the production house had intended to do so, they should have engaged a costume designer and created their own costumes.

Tarun concluded by expressing his desire that such actions should never be deemed acceptable in the future.
