Dono Teaser OUT: Rajveer Deol, Paloma Thakeria promise unforgettable tale of love

Rajvir and Paloma are set to make their acting debut together in a romantic film called “Dono,” directed by Avnish S. Barjatya.

New Delhi: Last month, there was a wedding reception for Karan Deol, the son of Sunny Deol and an actor himself. At the reception, Sunny Deol had a reunion with his former co-star Poonam Dhillon, with whom he starred in the 1984 romance movie “Sohni Mahiwal.” They were accompanied by their children, Rajvir Deol and Paloma. Now, Rajvir and Paloma are set to make their acting debut together in a romantic film called “Dono,” directed by Avnish S. Barjatya.

Recently, the teaser for the film “Dono” was released. The teaser shows that the story takes place on an island during a destination wedding. The main characters are Meghna (played by Paloma), who is a friend of the groom, and Dev (played by Rajvir), who is a friend of the bride. At the beginning of the teaser, they talk about past rejections. As the teaser progresses, they form a connection during various ceremonies of the destination wedding, such as the haldi ceremony and the pheras.

“Dono” is the directorial debut of Avnish S. Barjatya, the younger son of renowned filmmaker Sooraj R. Barjatya. Avnish previously worked as an assistant Director on Sooraj’s last two movies, “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” and “Uunchai.” The teaser of “Dono” has a small nod to Sooraj’s popular 1994 film “Hum Aapke Hain Koun,” where a love story unfolds between the groom’s brother and the bride’s sister during a big Indian wedding.

“Dono” is a joint production of Rajshri Productions, owned by the Barjatya family, and Jio Studios. Sooraj is involved in the project as the Creative Producer. The music for the film is composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, and the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil. The teaser provides a glimpse of the title track. Avnish has crafted the story himself and co-written the screenplay with Manu Sharma.
