New Delhi: After wreaking havoc at the BO with two back-to-back actioners Jawan and Pathan, Bollywood’s King Shah Rukh Khan has once again arrived on the big screens with his latest flick Dunki.
As early reviews of the movies are overwhelmingly positive, its buzz amongst the moviegoers is surging with each passing hour and fans are more than sure that the film will get impressive opening figures at the Box office.

As per the website Sacnik, Dunki is going to have a thumping opening day at the box office. The website predicts that the Tapsee Pannu starrer is set to amass anything between Rs 32-35 crore by the end of its first day on the big screens. Additionally, considering the rave reviews garnered by the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, its collections are further expected to increase throughout the coming weekend.
Interestingly, Shah Rukh’s previous releases Jawan and Pathan also made an earthshattering BO collection on their first day. While Pathan minted a whopping Rs. 57 crore on it’s day 1, Jawan even went past that figure and amassed Rs 75 crore on its opening day at the Box office.

Helmed by PK director Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is a heartwarming story of the journey of four middle-class friends who are desperate to leave India and reach abroad by hook or crook.
Written by acclaimed film writer Abhijat Joshi, the comedy-drama casts Shah Rukh Khan as the lead actor while featuring Tapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vickey Kaushal and in key roles. The film was released in the theaters on Thursday (21 November) under the banner of Red Chilli Entertainments.
What Inspired Rajkumar Hirani to make Dunki?
Meanwhile, in a recently released YouTube video Dunki Diaries, Shah Rukh Khan, Pannu, and Rajkumar Hirani talked about their movie.
In the same video, Hirani also spoke about the incident that inspired him to make a film like Dunki. He revealed that he once visited Punjab and noticed that a house in Jalandhar had a huge cemented airplane on its rooftops. This made the director curious and motivated him to make a movie based on the same.
