New Delhi: After a not-so-successful run at the box office, Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villian Returns’ is set to stream on OTT. The thrilling drama is a sequel to the serial killer-based crime drama ‘Ek Villian’. The film was released in theatres on July 29.
The film stars John Abrahan, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria in the lead. The story of the film revolves around serial killers again and this time it is about two men who are in one-sided love and the paths they choose to fulfil their love stories decide who the hero is and who is the villain. The movie takes place eight years after Rakesh Mahadkar, played by Riteish Deshmukh in the prequel, reigned terror on Mumbai.
The screenplay is written by Mohit Suri along with Aseem Arrora. The music of the prequel gained a lot of praise and was composed by talented musicians including Ankit Tiwari, Mithoon, Adnan Dhool, Rabbi Ahmed and others. The music for ‘Ek Villian Returns’ worked fine on the charts and was composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Ankit Tiwari majorly.
When and where to watch?
The film will be streaming on Netflix from September 9 onwards. While announcing the film, Netflix India tweeted, “2x the action, 2x the thrill. #EkVillainReturns arrives on 9th September on Netflix.”

The film is Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series Films. The cinematography in the film is done by Vikas Sivaraman, who also worked with Mohit Suri on ‘Malang’.
