Five Nights at Freddy’s OTT Release Date: When and where to watch this American supernatural horror mystery

New Delhi: The film Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the popular video game series, has finally made it from theatres to streaming services. Scott Cawthon’s video game franchise serves as the inspiration for the supernatural horror mystery thriller film Five Nights at Freddy’s.

The film will finally be available to Indian viewers via over-the-top services four months after its theatrical run. Five Nights at Freddy’s is a terrifying take on the popular horror video game series, developed by Blumhouse (the studio behind M3GAN, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man).

Plot

This narrative follows Mike, a troubled security guard who takes a job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He learns the hard way on his first night of work that working the night shift isn’t going to be easy.

Even though it’s been more than a decade since their younger brother went missing, Mike is still haunted by the mystery. Mike, who has just lost his job, takes it upon himself to protect 10-year-old Abby by working as a night security guard at the empty theme restaurant Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. Nevertheless, Mike rapidly discovers that there is more going on at Freddy’s than what is first apparent. Together, Mike and Vanessa, a police officer from the neighbourhood, face the otherworldly on a chilling descent into an unfathomable nightmare.

When and Where to Watch?

On October 27, 2023, the US premiere of Five Nights at Freddy’s, a film by Universal Pictures, took place in theatres and was made available for streaming on Peacock.

Starting on February 27, 2024, the film will be accessible on Jio Cinema, an OTT platform in India.

Cast and Crew

The major part, Mike, is portrayed by Josh Hutcherson, while Abby is played by Piper Rubio. Actress Elizabeth Lail plays Vanessa, a police officer.

Mary Stuart Masterson portrays Mike’s icy aunt Jane, Matthew Lillard plays Mike’s arrogant career counsellor Steve Raglan, and Kat Conner Sterling portrays Abby’s babysitter – Max.

Emma Tammi wrote the screenplay for Five Nights at Freddy’s and directed the film. The screenwriter also includes Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. Fright Nights at Freddy’s was produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. Marc Mostman, Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder, and Christopher H. Warner are the film’s executive producers.
