From ‘Black Panther’ to ‘Loki’: Check Marvel Studios’ announcements at D23 Expo

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, began his presentation with the song ‘I Can Do This All Day’ from Rogers: The Musical, which originally appeared in the series ‘Hawkeye’. 

New Delhi: Disney’s D23 Expo was a treat for the Marvel fans as Marvel Studios made various announcements about their upcoming ventures, Several teasers and trailers were released which just added to the hype of Phase Four. Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, began his presentation with the song ‘I Can Do This All Day’ from Rogers: The Musical, which originally appeared in the series ‘Hawkeye’.

Feige started by announcing ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ as the final film in Phase Four of the MCU. A new teaser of the film was also released that featured Angela Bassett’s Ramonda in a hearing with government officials. Angela also remembered Chadwick Boseman at the occasion. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film will release on November 11.

The next title announced was the web series ‘Ironheart’. The show stars Dominique Thorne as the new superhero, Riri Williams. The first teaser of ‘Ironheart’ showed him working on the armour. Fiege went on to announce ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. The first look of the film was shared at the event. The upcoming edition of the Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Kathryn Newton.

MCU’s Halloween Special film ‘Werewolf by Night’, starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly was also announced at the D23. The first footage from the film shows some monster hunters hunting for the monster among them. The black and white movie will release on October 7. Filmmaker Don Cheadle announced two films, Secret Invasion and Armor Wars. Secret Invasion features shapeshifting aliens Skrulls who first appeared in Captain Marvel.

Season 2 of the much-loved show ‘Loki’ was also revealed at the event. In the upcoming edition “Loki is having a difficult conversation and confrontation with Sylvie,” told Tom Hiddleston as he revealed new footage of the show.

In an announcement regarding ‘Thunderbolts’, it was told that the cast of the film will feature, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. There was also a mention of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and Anthony Mackie’s ‘Captain America: New World Order’.
