Gadar 2 makes grand box office debut: Collects ₹40 crore on day 1

Gadar 2’s release comes after a gap of 23 years since the release of its predecessor, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, a romantic-action drama that made history at the box office in 2001 during the backdrop of India’s partition.

New Delhi: The much-anticipated Gadar 2 has stormed the Indian box office with a spectacular opening on its first day of release. 

The film, directed by Anil Sharma, raked in an impressive ₹40 crore net in India on Friday. Gadar 2 features the dynamic trio of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles.

Box Office Triumph of Gadar 2

According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 has achieved an outstanding ₹40 crore net collection on its opening day in India. The film garnered an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 60.81 percent on Friday. 

Gadar 2’s release comes after a gap of 23 years since the release of its predecessor, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, a romantic-action drama that made history at the box office in 2001 during the backdrop of India’s partition.

Gadar 2 captivates audiences with its riveting performances, impactful dialogues, and iconic hand pump, continuing the legacy of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel). The film unfolds against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1971 Crush India Movement, showcasing Tara Singh’s ardent journey to Pakistan to rescue his son, Charan Jeet Singh (portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma), from the clutches of the Pakistani Army.
