New Delhi: Sai Pallavi’s thrilling drama is set to release on OTT in August. The Tamil film, directed by Gautham Ramachandran, was released in the cinemas on July 15. The film is getting an OTT release just after a month of its release in the theatres.
The film revolves around a young school teacher who sets on a journey to prove her father’s innocence with the help of a juvenile advocate who’s never even seen the interiors of a court hall. The film is written by Hariharan Raju and the director Gautham Ramachandran. In the film, Sai Pallavi plays the character of Gargi, while the film also stars Kaali Venkat, R.S. Shivaji, Kavithalaya Krishnan and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
When and where to watch?
The film will release on Sony Liv on August 12. Apart from Tamil, the film will also stream in Telugu and Kannada. The announcement by the official Twitter handle of the OTT platform Sony Liv.

Govind Vasantha composed the music for the film, while the film is edited by Abhishek Ayyanoth. The movie is produced by Ravichandran Ramachandran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Thomas George and Gautham Ramachandran, under the banner of 2D Entertainment and Blacky Genie & My Left Foot Productions.
Made on a budget of Rs 10 crore approximately, ‘Gargi’ grossed over Rs 8 crores. However, the film was appreciated and loved by the audience and even the critics applauded the makers.
Sai Pallavi was last seen in the Telugu film ‘Virata Parvam’ alongside Rana Daggubati.
