Ghandhda Gudi Teaser Out: Late Puneeth Rajkumar’s wildlife documentary is awe-inspiring

Gandhada Gudi, which means the temple of sandalwoods, explores deep into Karnataka’s jungles, beaches and underwater world.

New Delhi: Today, on the special occasion of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s  mother Parvathamma Rajkumar’s birth anniversary, his elder brother Shivarajkumar and Yash dropped the teaser of upcoming wildlife documentary Ghandhda Gudi.

Yash and Shivarajkumar are the makers of Ghandhda Gudi, which happens to be the dream project of the late film icon.

For the much awaited documentary which has been in making for quite some time now, Puneet had associated with well known wildlife filmmaker Amoghavarsha JS.

Gandhada Gudi, which means the temple of sandalwoods, explores deep into Karnataka’s jungles, beaches and underwater world.

“Appu’s dream, an incredible journey, a celebration of our land and it’s legend. It’s time for the return – “Gandhada Gudi” (sic),” tweeted Amoghavarsha while sharing the teaser.

Amoghavarsha have won laurel for the 2019 natural documentary ‘Wild Karnataka’, which he had made in collaboration with fellow wildlife filmmaker Kalyan Varma.

Notably, the tile Gandhada Gudi is taken from the title of Puneeth Rajkumar’s father and late legendary actor Rajkumar’s 1973 film directed by Vijay.

Gandhada Gudi was also one of the various other projects that Puneeth was working on to serve to the viewers outside Karnataka.

The documentary will be released in cinemas next year.
