New Delhi: Shiva Rajkumaar’s latest Kannada actioner Ghost finally made it to the big screens amid a lot of buzz and expectations on October 19.
Since its release, the film has garnered a mixed response from both moviegoers and critics. While the massy action drama is being hailed by the public for Shiva’s exceptional performance, it is also facing criticism for numerous flaws such as a weak plot and over-reliance on the star power of the 61-year-old actor who recently enhanced his popularity by making an impactful cameo in Rajnikanth’s latest actioner Jailer.
At the Box office, Leo has so far managed to hold its ground with the help of superstar Shiva’s mass appeal and his iconic performance in the film. In its 2 day-long theatrical runs, the movie has minted a decent sum of Rs 2. 40 crores despite facing tough competition from a number of high-budget flicks including Lokesh Kanagraj’s Magnum Opus Leo.
Ghost OTT release
Although the movie is still running in the cinemas, its satellite and digital rights have been already purchased by leading OTT platform Zee5 which is now set to make the movie on their portal in the coming days.
As per a report published by OTTplay, Ghost is expected to arrive on the OTT portal within a month of its theatrical release on or around 17 November 2023.
