New Delhi: Actor Alia Bhatt posed for Vogue India’s latest cover and opened up about her and Ranbir’s bond with their five-month-old daughter Raha. In an interview with Vogue India, she talked about the moment when Raha touched her face and squeezed her cheek for the first time and about how Ranbir looks when he lifts their daughter.
Talking about Raha, she said that she is not putting pressure on either Raha or herself to be together with Ranbir all the time. Alia added that Raha is five months old and she is impressed with how well-behaved and peaceful she is.

The actor acknowledged that there are days when Raha is not peaceful and that is fine. She added that even a mother also has a right to have good and bad days, even though it is difficult to not have things together as she calls herself a ‘control freak’. She said that Raha is a ‘happy baby’ and that she and Ranbir call her ‘cheetah’ because of the sounds she makes. The actor also said that she knows that her daughter will grow up too soon and will not want to sit in her lap or hang out with her.
Talking about being a mother and her status, she said that there is much pressure on women to be good at both, their careers and being a mother. She added that her status makes her think if people are judging her for her motherhood and that has made her self-critical, and she goes to therapy every week to voice herself.
About the bond between the father and daughter, she said that Ranbir has become more sensitive after Raha was born. On a lighter note, she mentioned that Ranbir had to put on weight for ‘Animal’ so now he lifts Raha, it looks like a ‘giant picking up a little puppy’.

Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April last year and welcomed Raha in November. Alia recently shared a picture of Ranbir sitting beside their daughter and also mentioned in the interview that sitting by the window is their routine.
She will next be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial comeback ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ opposite Ranveer Singh. She also has ‘Heart of Stone’ with Gal Gadot and ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in the pipe line.
